| I think my great-great-grandmother Amelia Roberts died in Brynbeuno, Llanrug in 1917. She was born in Aberffraw, lived in Anglesey, but seems to have relocated after her husband's, Michael, death. She lived there, Llanrug, with her daughter, Catherine, who then moved back to Valley in Anglesey after her mother's death. On a recent visit to Anglesey I found Michael's grave, and his daughter, Catherine, was buried with him, but not Amelia. I have traced a death of an Amelia Roberts to Llanrug and I am wondering if she was perhaps buried in the cemetery of St Michael's in the Heather Church. Is there anyone able to help me with this - or point me in the right direction for help??Many Thanks

| REQUEST FAMILY HISTORY SEARCH SMITH family Penrhyn Duedreth. My Grandfather was Isaac SMITH DOB 28/07/1869 OR 1870.I did look up this record about 1978 at Blaenau Ffestinog and remember the mothers address as being Hengapel at Penrhyn Deudraeth.I did contact some ladies in the town being told SMITH was not a common name in the town or cemetery, I had the feeling that the group thought I was looking to claim property.I had an old photo of their family cottage in the old high part of town. This was not encouraging,so we moved on with our small kids at the time. Isaac left school at 12 going to sea eventually jumped ship in South Australia married a welsh girl Mary Williams in 1896 and finished up farming in Kukerin west aust.died 1947.ISAACS family is a blank,so now Im retired Im seeking help which may be a long shot. Any suggestions about search or whether i should be after proffessional help would be appreciated .cheers and thanks Bruce SMITH

| Researching Appolonia Jones, nee Williams (I think) born about 1838. Birth place given on 1891, 1901 and 1911 census returns is Amlwch, Anglesey but Pentraeth, Anglesey is given as birth place on 1861 and 1881 census. The 1871 census gives her birth place as Llanddeiniolen.

| I am in the course of resaearching historical aspects of Y Felinheli or Port Dinorwic as it was previously known as. In particular I have come across reference to YR Hen Felin and, on the 1861 census, Mill House, Menai Hill. This is located immediately on the left as you enter Felinheli and next to where the railway bridge used to cross the main road. No such building is shown on Tithe maps, for example. Any suggestions as to the type of mill that this could be will be greatly appreciated.
