| I would sincerely appreciate any help and support I could receive on tracing the marriage certificate of my great grandparents. I have been trying for years and in 3 weeks will be coming to North Wales from the Midlands so I can be confident in knowing I have traced them back and know I have the correct names of great, great grandparents to then trace.Details are:My Great Grandmother:Mary Ellen RobertsB - don't know where but must be approx 1888/9 based on her deathM - don't know when or where but first child was born whilst they lived in Llansaffraid, Glan Conwy in 1912. Husband: John Edward Roberts (often known just as Edward RobertsD - died Jan 30th 1969 aged 80 whilst living at 11 Dreflan, Mold. Buried Mold cemetery.John Edward Roberts - only info I have traced is his death on 13 Jan 1943 aged 53 also in Mold but I know he lived in Caerwys in 1914 and Glan Conwy in 1912.I believe both may have come more from the Conwy or Gwynedd area and am desperate to find their marriage certificate to identify fathers' names to enable me then to track where they are born.If anyone can help or even suggest where to go for help please let me know.Jaynejaynelicari@hotmail.com

| Griffith JONES and his wife, Catherine, had these children: Catherin (1844), John (1845), Ellen (1847), Ann (1849), Richard (1852), Griffith (1855), Mary (1858) and William (1861). They moved from Tynrhos, LLANBABO in 1851 to Gronant, Llanfacmarth in 1861 and to Fadog Lwyd, LLANFAETHLU in 1871, where they remained. The sons John Griffith JONES and Griffith JONES were still there as single men in 1911. I'm interested in this family, particularly in the eldest daughter, Catherine, her marriage and her children.

| I'm searching for the families of William EVANS, a farmer (born Holyhead, 1791) who was married on 21st Nov 1821 to Margaret OWEN (born 1799-1801 at FADOGLWYD in LLANFAETHLU parish ) and their children, Richard (1823), Jane (1826), Evan (1827), William (1829), Margaret (1831), John (1836) and Thomas (1840). All children were born at FADOGLWYD and baptised in the LLANFAETHLU PARISH. Richard may have become a miller and married Margaret, who was born at Gwalchmai in 1823. This couple had two daughters, Jane 1848 and Mary 1850. Any information or contacts would be most welcome.

| I have hit a brick wall concerning my Great-Great Grandfather GRIFFITH EVANS. He appears with his wife, Jane in each Census from 1851 to 1891 and the age difference fluctuates between 3 Years and 9 Years.Similarly the Place of Birth in the case of Jane varies between Dolgelley Caernarfon and Llanwnda. Griffith EVANS was a Railway Platelayer and died at Bangor Gwynedd on 17th November 1900 at the age of 83 years suggesting he was born in 1817.Jane EVANS nee WILLIAMS died at Bangor on 9th May 1906 aged 79 years suggesting that she was born about 1826 an age difference of 9 years. It is interesting to note that in the 1881 Census a Lodger appears to reside with the couple he being one JOHN EVANS 57 yrs a Miner born at Dolgellau and 2 years older than GRIFFITH. Was he an older brother. I have consistently been unsuccessful in determining the parentage and address of Griffith EVANS in Dolgellau and similarly failed to ascertain the roots of Jane EVANS nee Williams -at whatever location she was born. The answers have eluded me for over 25 years. Can anyone assist

We are keen to know of anyone or enyehere anywhere I could ask whether Ellis (aka Elsyn) Owen served on the staff (perhaps as head) of Bontddu school near Dolgellau in the 1920s or 1930s. | I should be very grateful for any information about the birth/baptism of Alexander Moreland born in N.Wales 1819/20.His father was John and mother Margaret. John was a stonemason probably working on one of the famous civil engineering projects in N.Wales at the time. They moved to London soon after Alexander was born. I don't know where John or Margaret came from peviously. A record might just mention John's orgin. Any sugestions gratefully would be gratefully received.

| I am seeking information about four people: Joe Evans, aged 19 in 1913 and living at 20 Stanley Street, Senghenydd - a survivor of the pit disaster, who may have moved to North Wales. His brother, Evan, lived in Penmachno from 1926 till his death in 1942. The second is Henry Parry, born 1879, living at Tal-y-Sarn farm, Llanrug. He was an engineer and mining contractor who lived at Bedwas and Blaenau F, probably moved back north around 1918. Also, Henry Parry's grandfather, Thomas, born 1785; I'd particularly like to know if he had a sister named Lydia. And TP's father, also named Thomas.

| My Great great grandfather was Evan Daniel Evans born Dogellau circa 1822. He was baptised at Juda Baptist Chapel in Dolgellau in 1831. I believe he married in Ruabon in 1853 and practised as a Baptist Minister in Mold between 1851 and 1859 before moving to Liverpool where he died a few years later.I don't seem to be able to find him in either Wales or England in the 41 or 51 census. I wonder whether there is any way of finding out how and where he trained to be a Minister and where he worked before going to Mold. I have already communicated with Regents Park in Oxford.Any suggestions will be appreciated.

| I am actively seeking information relating to My GG Grandmother Ellen )Elin or Eleanor) Jones born in Llanfairfechan in 1822. She was called Eleanor Thomas before marriage to my GG Grandfather John Jones who was born in Eglwysrhos in 1802 and was a blacksmith. Eleanor had a daughter Elizabeth born in 1848 in Llanfairfechan (unnamed father on birth certificate) and it looks like John adopted her as by the time of marriage in 1851 she was called Elizabeth Jones. I think Eleanor lived in Bathesda(Llanllechid ecclesiastic district) in 1901 on the census details in Walter Street and possibly died soon after that date. I would love to know where she is buried. She was my GG grandfather's 2nd wife and he is buried with his 1st wife - can anyone help with this at all? Thank you in advance.
