I am trying to find more information about my Great, Great, Great grandfather Lewis (ap) William (born around 1749 , died 1828 at Mur Peoth, Happy Valley, Tywyn, buried in Llangelynin). I think he lived in Y Friog, near Fairbourne, Merioneth. His wife was Cathrine and his son was Richard Lewis (baptised 1786) who lived at Gwastadcoed Isaf, Llwyngwril), (up to this point they were using patronymic names.). Richard's first wife was Margaret Robert (1783 - 1831) Richard's second wife was Mary William (baptised 1802) of Tal Y Llyn, Merioneth. His son Lewis Lewis, went on to farm at Vaenol Uchaf, Tywyn, Merioneth, where the family remained until 1986..I may be pushing my luck here as I believe some records from this area have been lost through fire. However,I would be grateful for any help.Thankyou
